Comprehensive Basic Science Subject Examination Content Changes To Become Effective Feb. 3, 2021

Posted December 14, 2020

In order to align with the USMLE Step 1 content changes which began in October 2020, all Comprehensive Basic Science subject examination forms will increase the number of items assessing communication skills beginning Feb. 3, 2021.

While content will be realigned, the number of test questions in the examination will remain unchanged. The length of the exam and score feedback turnaround time will also remain unchanged. An updated content outline is available for your reference.

Additional information regarding content changes to the Comprehensive Clinical Science subject examination will be provided in January 2021.
